In order to answer the most common questions regarding the purchase and shipment of orders, please read the policies outlined on this page.
If you cancel a custom order before I begin working on it, then I will return the payment in full. However, if it is cancelled after I've started working or after completion, 50% of the original payment will be returned. This is necessary to cover the cost of materials and time invested. I am a perfectly reasonable person, and I will work with you in this type of situation. I can assure you that I'm fully committed to making your pet portrait a success.
In the unlikely event that your drawing gets damaged in the postal system, please convo me or contact me immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can work out repairs or a replacement. If an incorrect or damaged order is received, a picture displaying the damages or incorrect order is required to be sent to me at greenblanketportraits [!at] gmail.com within 5 days of receipt. Please retain all packaging.
Custom portraits are shipped when the full payment is complete. I accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard®, American Express, Discover and Etsy Gift Cards as a method of payment.
Connecticut residents sales tax will be included.

The photograph you submit must be yours or you must obtain permission from the photographer to use the image as a source for the artistic representation. Proof of permission must be presented to me if the photograph was not taken by you. I understand that this might be an inconvenience, but I must have permission if I create and sell an artistic representation of a copyrighted photo without permission. Without it, I can be prosecuted for copyright infringement.
I reserve copyright on all artwork, but you are certainly welcome to post pictures of the sample images or portraits you have purchased anywhere you like. However, any attempt to resell a printed or digital copy of a copyrighted image is prohibited and a really uncool thing to do. Also please note that portraits that you commission might be used for display and or promotional purposes.
